I was brought up in a family that rarely swore. I've only heard my mum swear once, when she fell face down in a muddy puddle in her best dress, and my dad swear once when i hit his broken toe with a hammer. They did use a few replacement swear words in front of me (i'm sure they swore like troopers when i wasn't around).

Some situations do necessitate the power that swear-words evoke and when used sparingly these words can cut to the bone.

i've very rarely utter any of the above. I usually just sigh, or maybe let out a tut but sometimes an alternative will slip out, dagnabbit.

Do you use any swear word alternatives, and if so, can you repeat them on here?
